About Advanced Course
The Advanced Engineering Course was established to provide a two-year higher education following five-year practical education at National Institute of Technology(KOSEN),Wakayama College. We have two courses; Mechatronics Engineering Course, Ecosystem Engineering Course. The aim of both courses is to provide students with the ability to play active roles in the era of rapid innovation in technology and globalization. For this purpose, both courses places emphasis on three points.
First, we develop of human resources with a high level of creativity power to build a sustainable society.
Second, we develop of human resources with a high level of problem finding and solving abilities in a sustainable society.
Third, we develop of human resources with a rich humanity and internationally minded.
Mechatronics Engineering Course
The educational goal of the Mechatronics Engineering Course, is to foster prospective engineers, who are equipped with solid research skills and capable of designing and developing high-quality, value-added products regarding intelligent mechanical engineering & electrical and computer engineering. Through wellorganized curricula covering mechanical, electronic controlling and information system engineering, students in this course are expected to develop specialized hands-on skills in controlling production-process systems while paying attention to effective recycling and energy-saving technologies for limited natural resources. The course also aims to nurture globalization-minded engineers through intensive technical English reading, as well as through internship, PBL(Problem Based Learning) and oral presentation at research conferences, all of which are designed to enhance each student's solid sense of professionalism, social commitment and contribution, leading to improved problem-solving skills.
Ecosystem Engineering Course
The educational goal of the Ecosystem Engineering Course is to foster prospective engineers, who are equipped with solid research skills and capable of designing and developing high-quality, value-added products regarding chemistry, biochemistry and civil engineering.Through wellorganized curricula covering chemistry, biochemistry and civil engineering, students in this course are expected to develop specialized hands-on skills to create effective materials using chemistry and biochemistry technology, or design development infrastructure planning, make environmental assessment, and manage the many kinds of construction.
